North Lapland

Northern Lapland is European union's northermost region and the only one sharing a border with both, Sweden and Russia.

Tourismwise North Lapland is knows as the real Lapland. Saariselkä fell-center, Pyhä-Luosto travel center, fishing at Tenojoki, and national parks are significant factors in the area's travel image.

Besides travel, the area focuses on processing natural resources, vehicle and tire testing, development of Sodankylä and Astropolis, and mining.
