Skiing in Lapland is an experience with spectacular views, beautiful forest scenery, and ample climbs and gentle slopes. In Lapland and Northern Finland the season begins in early November and lasts until May. There are numbers of ski resorts.

Most skiing facilities present offer excellent skiing for beginners and intermediates with superb skiing facilities also for families. They have professional instructors who can teach you in the art of skiing. There are over 48 kilometers of tracks, 48 kilometers of freestyle / skate tracks and 23 kilometers of track with lighting. The average distance from a resort to the airport in Lapland is 55 kilometers.

Ski lift tickets

It is possible to save on ski lift tickets as well. Large variations exist in prices between ski centers. Of course one has to bear in mind that cheaper tickets mean that number of slopes will be smaller, and even their quality might be of lesser grade than those in more expensive centers. However, striking the balance here according to your budget will save you some money.

The more enthusiastic skiers should also look into ski center loyalty programs. The more time you spend at the slopes, the more benefit you get.
