After the beginners' course you can hone your skills on advanced courses, which come in many levels and contents.

    Accommodation expenses depend on the time of year more than anything. When planning a skiing trip it's best to avoid the most popular Finnish winter holiday week. The snow will be around few weeks after as well. In the era of the Internet, comparing hotel and cabin prices is easy. It pays to check all options ranging from big hotel chains to private letters. In the outskirts of major ski centers one can often find privately let ski cabins and rooms. Especially if you have a big entourage, a good sized cabin can be cheaper than few hotel rooms.

  • Dining

    Another benefit of cabins is that they usually have their own kitchen, which reduces food expenses significantly. Instead of expensive restaurant meals, your group can cook inexpensive and delicious food together. However, if you wish to indulge yourselves with a restaurant dinner, you do not have to go to expensive hotel restaurants. Small, good quality, inexpensive restaurants can be found in every village and city.

    Budget travellers should also avoid expensive lunches of the ski centers, and rather take their own lunch box to the slopes. Backpack can easily hold sandwiches, fruits, nuts, and a bottle of hot chocolate. Especially kids usually find a picnic in the snow a more fun option that dining at a packed restaurant.
